This reminds me of an ad I saw a couple of years back. There was this little boy, who, when instructed to draw pictures on a piece of paper, merely blackened with entire thing. And then he went on to blacken another paper, and then another, and then another. Wherever, be it at home or in school, he was, he’d be found just blackening paper after paper. His parents were worried that there might be something wrong with him so they sent their son to a facility to be evaluated. The doctors could not figure out why he kept coloring the paper black. Finally, after a long time, the little boy finished. And then the camera zooms out to reveal that he had actually tiled a picture of a whale. I think the ad was trying to promote creative thinking or the idea that not all unusual children can be misconstrued as slow learners/stupid.

These give me few ideas to make over that brilliant professor of mine, Mark Escaler. His idea of style is a white polo shirt and black pants. Why hide all that sexiness under a monochromatic color scheme? Why?!

Very earthy, little-house-on-the-prairie. Makes me want to think about living the simple country life. If anything, I’d be the best dressed peasant lady there.

Born in 1961 in Alghero in Sardinia, Antonio Marras very early became familiar with the world of ready-to-wear at the family’s fabric store. It subsequently became a clothing store that he himself managed starting in 1983.

At the age of 14 he accompanied his father to Milan to buy merchandise and discovered Elio Fiorucci’s bazaar, a veritable Ali Baba’s cave brimming with every imaginable type of clothing and accessories from the world over. This was his first “awakening” to the world of fashion.

Antonio Marras remains strongly attached to his roots and is based in Sardinia – “I travel a lot, I love New York and Paris, but I always return to Alghero” – while at the same time nurturing a mix of influences and the fusion of cultures.

His myriad sources of inspiration range from the Far East to South America, including Japanese tradition. He is equally stimulated by theater, dance, music and movies – with a preference for Visconti, Pasolini and Bertolucci, along with Truffaut. “I find art in general passionate and inspiring. I’m curious about everything. I love to wander through museums and go to exhibitions. These are places were I can experience strong emotions, and I continually need stimulation to create.”

Moon blood sucks stinky ass. Kill me now. Didn’t help that the Manure stank up my whole weekend. Everything hurts right now. More my ego than my womanly parts. I wish there was a pill for that.
